At each periodic technical inspection, the technicians check all the parts of the car. In general, the checklist is as follows:
- The first job of the technician is the necessary, external visual inspection of the vehicle for oxidation and dents, as well as an indication of the general condition of the vehicle. Immediately afterwards, it is checked whether the car has a triangle, a fire extinguisher and a pharmacy.
- The next step is to check the tyres.
- In the next step, the engine and chassis number of the vehicle are visually checked.
- Measurement of the emissions is one of the key points of the process and if required, an Exhaust Gas Control Card is issued.
- This is followed by measurements of the shock absorbers, the convergence and divergence of the steering axle, the suspension system, as well as the performance of the brakes and handbrake. Finally, wheel convergence/divergence is also measured on the rear axle.
- Measurement of the height of the light beam.
- Checking the underside of the car, with the help of a special ramp.
