Fuel injection system

Checking and cleaning of indirect and direct fuel injection system

The fuel supply system in modern engines is an electronically controlled fuel injection (ejection) system, which has replaced traditional mechanical carburetor fuel supply systems in all vehicles. Until the introduction of automotive catalytic converters, the basic fuel supply system for cars was the carburetor (carburetor) system. However, developments in modern technology and increasingly stringent country standards for zero emissions have led manufacturers to electronically controlled injection systems which, compared to traditional carburettor systems, have significant differences in the way they are controlled and operated.

Direct and indirect spraying

The main difference between indirect and direct injection is that indirect injection sprays into the flutes, before the intake valves, which is why it is called indirect injection, while in direct injection the injectors spray after the intake valves, directly into the combustion chamber. Just as single and multi-point injection improved fuel delivery compared to carburetors, direct injection improved fuel delivery by delivering precise amounts to each cylinder, resulting in improved combustion, increased efficiency and reduced exhaust emissions and consumption.
